I absolutely love caro's!!! i stop at least twice a week for peanut butter fudge and red velvet cupcakes! the fudge just melts perfectly in your mouth! and the red velvet is to die for!!! for any event we have been getting our cakes here for over 10 years, we have tried some of the new places in town but nothing compares to Caro's they are the best and everyone knows it.
Cakes are always made beautifully and are moist and delicious. Fillings are good, nothing gourmet, but they have a decent variety to choose from. This particular location is an offshoot of their main bakery in Bayou Blue. Cakes are actually made there and shipped here. Cakes are made on time and they even offer a discount if you order in advance. Only negative is the employee at this location can be a bit rude at times. If you are able to view the cake book and pick one you'll have no problem. She gets testy and curt when you want to make changes, as she does not make the cakes and has to call the bakery to get permission for changes. Your best bet if you need a specialty cake is to head over to the bayou blue location and speak to them in person. You can have the cake delivered to the Houma location if that is closer to your event on the day you need the cake.
